When it comes to history and heritage, there are many unanswered question about the bygone era. We exactly don’t know who are ancestors were, what they did and what exactly happened during their era. But the evidences we have today, help us to trace their existences.
If we take a walk around Goa, will find that there are numerous temples, caves, churches, and historical artifact that leave us with a question to think about are ancestors, that is whether are ancestors were creative or smart. Because as far as our knowledge, we know that they lacked behind in education and technological advancement.
But how come they ended up making such wonderful monuments, Carvings and paintings without any knowledge.
And here are two prominent examples. One is The Mahadev Temple at Tambdi Surla , which is a 12th-century Shaivite temple, built with basalt, carried across the mountains from the Deccan Plateau and carved by craftsmen. It is considered to be the only specimen of Kadamba-Yadava architecture in basalt stone preserved and available in Goa. And the other one Arvalem Caves or the “Pandava Caves” that were built during the 5th-6th Century
