Aravelim waterfall is a very scenic and beautiful picnic spot .It falls in a straight drop and is at its highest glory during the monsoon season. It is situated at about 2 km from the small town of Sanquelim and 8 km from Bicholim, in North Goa.
The Arvalem waterfall is at its glorious best right after the monsoon, with eye-catching beauty that exhilarates the tourists. The fall looks stunning with the thunderous gush of water cascading down the rocky terrain of the mountain behind it. A huge lake is formed at the bottom that attracts a lot of swimmers .the area has lush greenery all around the year that makes it alluring and beautiful.

After the monsoon the Arvalem waterfall takes the most majestic look. This waterfall is set amidst charming surroundings, with the Rudreshwar temple in its vicinity. This temple holds great importance for the Hindus, which adds to the beauty of this waterfall.
The Rock cut caves are just situated nearby, in the same locality of this waterfall. Archaeologists have traced their origin to the 5th or 6th century AD, but the caves are believed to have harboured the Pandavas, heroes of the epic Mahabharata, during their exile. Even today, it continues to offer pleasant refuge. The caves have mythological importance.

water descending into the lapse of Mother Nature makes this place an ideal
