The chapel of St Catherine at Old Goa.
Is one of the earliest built christain Ecclesiastical structure in Goa. Its also said to be second or the third oldest christain monument in Asia. This chapel was dedicated to St Catherine, as it was built immediately by Afanso de Albuquerque upon conquering Goa on St. Catherine's Day, November 25, 1510. Originally there stood a mosque of Adil shah's city from where Afonso de Albuquerque entered the city. The fort walls still existed opposite the chapel. later on this mosque was demolished on conquering and St Catherine Chapel was built. The brown and white color of the chapel gives it a graceful look. Its one of the most beautiful historic site one must visit.
